About this course:

This is an introductory course in reading and analyzing architecture and construction technology documents, in which students acquire the theory and practice to read complete sets of drawings used in building design and building construction. Students explore all elements of architecture and construction technology document reading, from sheet characteristics and drawing symbols to reading specialty prints and construction specifications. Students develop skills in reading, visual perception, technical communication, and problem solving. Students are given a full set of construction project documents to work through typical problems commonly encountered by professionals. This course utilizes the pdf viewing and editing software Bluebeam Revu to navigate the construction documents.
